This story is about Patrick Weithers who comes from a family known for entrepreneurial success. Two of his brothers were famous criminal lawyers. Patrick no less accomplished in academic endeavors earned a Batchelor of Science Degree from Howard University after leaving Suitland Senior High in Maryland. Then he went on to secure a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science Engineering.
Even though Patrick Weihers studied Computer Science at Howard University he developed his entrepreneurial skills running his own photography business. In his early days at university he built a database program to manage the sales, marketing and inventory of this part time photography business. It provided a good training ground for him. more than in photography. He however did a very unique thing.
He took what he learnt in business and married it to what he
learnt in computers.Soon fate knocked at the door. Patrick Weithers is a young man who believes in relationships. He never looses touch with past friends or associates. One day a former Professor who he had kept abreast of his achievements, informed him of an excellent opportunity in a fast growing communications firm. He was selected from among 43 applicants for this job.
As the company's Chief Information Officer Patrick Weithers designed and built a technology infrastructure which included telecommunication systems and included a Computer network that covered many states from the east coast across to the west coast. He automated manual areas of the business such as accounting, advertising, administration, finance, marketing and production.
Patrick Weithers does not rest on his laurels. Here was a man who never failed to accept challenges. And yet he was not the neurotic, heavy drinking executive. He is a quiet, relaxed and pleasant companion who was an extremely good conversationalist in a wide variety of topics. Most of all he is quite humble.
One area in which Patrick Weithers developed a vast amount of experience was in local Government . Here he utilized some of his previous experiences. As Chief Technology Officer many projects were implemented by him. He acquired additional experience too in Government procurement and budgeting, experience that would prove invaluable much later on.
By now Patrick had acquired experience in small business practice and in commercial enterprise plus his experience in the local Government area.
He became a member of the Black Data Processing Associates of America Corporate Advisory Council. He was also an active part of the Cable Communications Industry. In fact this young man who had become a sought after speaker at seminars and on television had also been instrumental in computerizing the BET network and was member too of the Standards Committee on Electronic Data Interfacing.
For his achievements and business accomplishments Patrick Weithers was nominated for the Small business Person of the Year award given by the US Small Business Administration.
However on the other hand his company that he formed as a result of his enterprising foray into the realm of Computer Technology has been the recipient of many awards also for its excellence in serving the needs of clients both Government and Commercial.
Patrick had named the company NU-PULSE TECHNOLOGIES. Its focus is in software Engineering and its excellence is reflected in its DUNN & BRADSTREET performance rating of 1.3 on a scale of 1 to 5. One being the perfect score for delivery of projects on time, within budget and for the quality of its staff, products and services.
The staff at Nu-Pulse Technologies held various certifications accreditations and affiliations. There are quite a few highly qualified Network and Software Engineers. Business partnerships are in place with industry giants such as Microsoft, Nortel Networks, Compaq Computers, and Citrix.
