Caribbeans on the FBI's Most Wanted List |

Five Caribbeans - three Jamaicans, one Haitiana nd one Trinidadian
- have been put 
on the
U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation's "most wanted"
fugitives list.The Jamaicans are Donovan Fred Anderson whose name appears on the FBI's list this month (February); Gifton Constantine Cousins who was put on in November last year, and Hopeton Eric Brown who made the list in January.
A report on the FBI's Web site said Brown, although using an alias, was tracked down last June in London, England, but he has since gone underground.
Information posted on the FBI's Web site describes Brown as being armed and dangerous. The fugitive who is from Montego Bay, St. James, goes by 10 aliases including the names "Sandokam", "Sando", "Angel" and "Shawn".
The FBI report said Brown is wanted for drug conspiracy, carrying a weapon in relation to a drug trafficking crime, murder in relation to a drug trafficking crime and attempted murder of a witness.
Reports from the US are that Brown was involved in the March 1997 murder of a Minnesota man and the attempted murder of his female friend. It is alleged that Brown and his associates went to the Minnesota man's apartment,
where
they beat and later shot and killed him.Allegations are that the man had a drug dispute with Brown and his associates. It is reported that the victim's female friend was shot twice in the head, but she managed to survive.
In 1999 Brown and some of his cronies were indicted by a federal grand jury in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for the murder and attempted murder which occurred in 1997. Of those indicted Brown, is the only one still at large. Based on police reports, he is believed to have been hiding in Jamaica for sometime.
Anderson is being sought for unlawful flight to avoid confinement and criminal possession of a controlled substance. FBI reports said he was travelling from New York to Canada when he was stopped at the US Customs Service check point at Wellesley Island, New York, on August 7, 1992. He was found with 168 grams of cocaine.
He was charged by the New York State Police and was released on bail, but failed to appear for subsequent court dates and was
convicted and sentenced,
in his absence. Cousins who uses several aliases is said to have
ties in Canada. He is being sought for unlawful flight to avoid
prosecution.A golf caddy, Cousins is wanted for the alleged stabbing of a man in Westchester County, New York. On September 12, 1996 both
men were working
as golf caddies at a country club when an argument developed
between them and a knife was used to stab the man.A federal warrant for his arrest was issued in the Southern District of New York in October 1996, charging him with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
The Haitian is Haitian Esnel Jean, wanted for allegedly murdering his wife, her seventeen-year-old son, and her five-year-old daughter. On March 29, 1996, law enforcement authorities discovered all three victims at their residence in North Miami, Florida. The victims'
bodies were found in the garage of the residence entombed in a concrete vault type of structure having the appearance of a crypt. Esnel's name was placed on the list this month (February).
The Trinidadian is Sheldon Charles, wanted for the shooting death of an associate in Hollywood, Florida. In August of 1995, when a drug dealer failed to deliver an order, Charles allegedly attempted to retaliate against the dealer to regain the deposit he placed on the order. An associate of Charles was killed in the resulting exchange of gunfire. His name was placed on the list in November.
