HIV and me

Today is my fifteenth birthday
They are doing everything they can
to make it perfect.
They baked me a nice cake
but soon they will be singing at my wake
Soon my secret will be out
Yes, I know that this is my last
So I will go out with a blast

So young,so reckless,so so cruel to myself
I thought he loved me
Then I ended up with his baby
And now we both carry HIV
What worse could happen to me
and my poor innocent baby growing inside me?

How long would if have taken me to just walk away?
But instead I went straight ahead
The very first time I had sex
I end up DEAD!!!

Eighteen year old Tiffany was born and raised in Guyana. Now residing in the UK she is about to complete A levels in History, English, French and Spanish. Her future ambition is to become a Lawyer and to practice through out the Caribbean.
